Summer 2026 Show: Matilda: The Musical

Summer Show Registration

Thank you for your interest in Music West's production of Matilda: The Musical!

 

Two registration/audition dates are offered: one on Thursday, March 5th from 6pm-8pm, and the other on Sunday, March 8 from 10am-12pm, at the Westchester Townhouse (8501 Emerson Ave., Westchester, 90045). You only need to attend one session, but a parent/guardian must accompany the registration portion (the first 20-30 minutes) for participants under age 18. Music and Acting Sides will be available and taught at auditions, but for additional coaching, consider attending our Audition Technique Workshop on Thursday, February 26 from 6pm-9pm at the Westchester Townhouse (see our website for more information).

 

Show dates will be July 9th at 7pm, July 10th at 7pm, July 11th at 2pm, and July 11th at 7pm.

Performances will be held at the Da Vinci Schools Blackbox Theater.

 

* There will be dance auditions following the singing/acting auditions. This is so our choreographer can see everyone's dancing ability, but will NOT affect your casting. Comfortable, flexible clothes are recommended. Please wear closed-toed shoes.

* Rehearsals begin March 12th, and are usually held Mondays and Thursdays from 6-8pm, and Saturdays 10am-12pm, with an extra hour added to selected rehearsals starting in May (closer to show time). Not all participants will be called to each rehearsal (particularly non-leads), and our group is extremely flexible with balancing attendance at rehearsals with other activities. Rehearsals will be held in Westchester with the exception of Tech Week (July 6-8) which will be held at the Blackbox Theater.

* Casting is open to ages 8 through adult. No prior experience necessary! Please note we can only accommodate up to 35 cast members, and registration is on a first come first serve.

* A fee of $250 will be due by April 15, 2026 to help offset the cost of materials and supplies.  
* More details will be included in the registration packet which will be emailed to you before the registration/auditions dates in March.

Please acknowledge that there is a $250 materials fee due April 15, 2026 (see the Director to pay by credit card, Venmo, cash, or make checks payable to Music West Inc.)

Please acknowledge that each family is responsible for purchasing or obtaining a minimum of one, $50.00 business or personal program tribute, or a combination of smaller tributes totaling $50.00.

I/We (the undersigned) agree to allow representatives of Music West, Inc., to arrange for medical treatment for the undersigned, should it be necessary for the undersigned to require medical treatment while participating in this activity. I hereby give the supervisory personnel permission to use their judgment in obtaining medical service for the undersigned, and I give permission to the physician selected by the supervisory personnel to render medical treatment deemed necessary and appropriate by the physician. I agree to relieve the Directors and Volunteers of Music West, Inc., and other supervisory personnel from any liability in connection with this request, and agree that Music West, Inc. personnel will not be held responsible for injuries which occur to the undersigned while participating in any Music West function.

Music West, Inc., INSURANCE PROVIDED BY NONPROFITS INSURANCE ALLIANCE COMPANY (NIAC).

I understand that once my child/(ren) has/have left the location, my child(ren) is/are no longer the responsibility of the location or company personnel.
