DETAILS: Anyone age 11-18 may sign up for this ensemble. This initial ensemble is being created to allow any interested young person the opportunity to receive choral training and unique performance opportunities.
A contract* must be signed by the performer and his or her parent/guardian no later than the first rehearsal. At this time the fee for the first half of the year will also be required ($150). Signups and re-registration occur twice a year.
Our winter plans include a formal Winter Concert as well as performances for local civic groups during the holiday season. In the Spring, there will be a formal Spring Concert and the Singers will audition for performance opportunities at local venues and/or choral competitions.

Assistant Director Wanted A volunteer position of Assistant Director for The Music West Singers is needed! We need a mature young person or an adult to assist in the general operations of the choir. The ability to read music is not required, although experience with viewing sheet music would be helpful. Here at Music West, we would like to expand the opportunities for our young adults to perform. Our plans include the creation of two community youth choirs. The current large ensemble group provides the opportunity to experience choral singing and performance. In the future, we will offer a second, auditioned choir, which will offer challenging choral repertoire to its members and have ample opportunities to perform in the larger community. |
